Mentoring

At Habitat Personnel, we treat employers as our valued clients too.

Prior to any referral, we carefully screen and select applicants based upon their individual compatibility with each employer.

Furthermore, we refer only suitably qualified staff, who clearly meet the needs of the employer.

Habitat Personnel also provides assistance to employers, by promoting greater cross cultural awareness. Doing so further enhances workplace relations and fosters better outcomes for all.

We also provide ongoing support to each employer, by regularly mentoring the new worker in their position for the first 12 months. Aboriginal role models are the mentors, providing support and supervision, in both our training and apprenticeship programs.

New Careers for Aboriginal People (NCAP):

• A free service of the NSW government.
• Appropriately qualified and experienced job seekers are referred to fill vacancies.
• Employers also gain access to training services at the NSW Department of Education and Training.
• Job placements are monitored to ensure positive outcomes for all.
